This small, handheld device improves your dental assessments and the accuracy of dental diagnoses. Our TRIOS 5 intraoral camera can be used wirelessly. This gives your dentist more freedom to obtain impeccable imaging without requiring awkward body positioning (them or you!).

Intraoral cameras have built-in light sources that illuminate the surfaces of your teeth, as well as the gums, tongue, and cheek area. Using this device, your dentist can capture images or video of the various parts of your mouth. This enhances the accuracy of your diagnosis as well as the accuracy of your conversation with your dentist about the state of your oral health.

Some of the ways in which an intraoral camera can be used in dentistry include:

• Oral cancer screening. Patients who have a higher risk for oral cancer, including those who frequently smoke or consume alcohol, need routine, high-quality exams to check for tumors or lesions in the mouth. The TRIOS 5 not only spots such abnormalities, but it can capture them on film, recording important data such as the location and measurement of the lesion or tumor.

Some of the conditions that can be spotted more easily using a powerful intraoral camera include broken fillings, chips or cracks in teeth, gum disease, cavities, and plaque formation, to name a few. 
• Education and treatment planning. Your dentist doesn't keep the images they've gathered to themself! They can be shared with you, giving you an up-close-and-personal look inside your own mouth. Observing the photos and videos with your dentist gives you a better understanding of why they are recommending specific treatments. After your appointment, you'll know exactly what's going on with your teeth and gums and how any concerns can be managed efficiently.
